Canggu, The Expatriate Area
To end my travel, I went to Canggu, a small town in the north of Seminyak in Bali. It is much calmer than Kuta and is close to some surf spots. It's also good to go there to find beginner surfer lessons.
If you look for an "easy" place in Bali, it's the place to go. Accommodations are very good and cheap, there are a lot of nice western restaurants and many people speak English. The Tanah Lot temple is located not far from there, meaning you have access to some tourist attractions too.
Many people thought I was an expat. It's not surprising since there are many around there. That's why this place is so traveler-friendly.
Let's see a few pictures.
There are many beach clubs with swimming pool and loud music.
Weird building.
Tanah Lot temple and its many tourists.
Echo Beach, a good surfing spot but not very beautiful.
Finns Beach Club at night.
Canggu was my last destination before going to Jakarta and flying back to France. Many Indonesians can speak English in this area, so I was able to improve my Indonesian speaking. Beside of that it was not really the right place to experience fully the indonesian culture. But it was great to relax by enjoying beach and sun!
